Accessibility Statement
How we make this website usable for as many people as possible, and how to tell us when something is not working.

Our approach
VERBOLIX aims to make this website accessible and usable for as many people as possible, and uses the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2 at level AA as its design target. We see accessibility as ongoing work rather than a one-off task.
What we have done
- Keyboard navigation: all links, menus, buttons and forms can be used with a keyboard, with a visible focus indicator and a “Skip to content” link.
- Readable contrast: text and interface colours are chosen to meet WCAG contrast guidance.
- Semantic structure: pages use headings, landmarks and lists so assistive technology can navigate them.
- Responsive layouts: pages adapt to screen sizes from small phones to large monitors, and support zooming.
- Reduced motion: animation is minimal and is switched off if your device is set to reduce motion.
- Alternative text: meaningful images have text alternatives; decorative graphics are hidden from screen readers.
- Form labels: every form field has a visible label, and required fields are clearly marked.
How this website was checked
During development, pages were checked with automated accessibility testing tools and by manual keyboard testing across a range of screen sizes. This website has not yet had an independent accessibility audit, so we do not claim full conformance with WCAG 2.2 AA.
Known limitations
- Some wide tables in our Insights articles scroll sideways on small screens.
- Automated testing cannot catch every issue, so some problems may exist that we are not yet aware of.
Reporting a problem
If you find something on this website difficult to use, or need information in a different format, please tell us. Email info@verbolix.co.uk or use our feedback and complaints form, choosing “Accessibility” as the type. Please include the page address and a short description of the problem. We will reply and look at how we can fix it.
